WASHINGTON DC, MD, UNITED STATES, September 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Maryland Financial Educators Council (MDFEC) has named Dr. Darvincia Warren, The Money ChicTM, Founder and CEO of CORE DMV, to serve on its prestigious Advisory Board.

With 15 years of financial industry experience and a lifelong passion for community service, Dr. Warren brings a wealth of expertise to her role on the Board. She established CORE DMV – a women-owned small business recognized by the Small Business Administration – in 2013, transforming the organization from a tax preparation and financial services firm into a financial education powerhouse. Through her leadership, the company offers government-backed financial literacy workshops, employer financial wellness programs, and tailored individual coaching services to empower individuals and corporations with sustainable wealth-building strategies. The overarching mission is to expand economic mobility and financial equity, especially among traditionally underserved communities.

Dr. Warren’s commitment to making financial empowerment accessible and human-centric is exhibited in her advocacy efforts as well as her professional work. Her community service places particular focus on youth development. She served as mentor and speaker at the District 8 Student Leadership Summit and the Youth Wealth Summit. She participated in the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business program and the AstraZeneca Small Business Mentorship Program, experiences that informed her strategy to position CORE DMV programming for scalable, long-lasting community impact.

Darvincia Warren was presented with an Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism in 2025 in recognition of her impact in the business, mentorship, and community service arenas. This honor is just one of many: Dr. Warren was named one of the Maryland Top 100 Women in 2026; received the 2025 WPO Entrepreneurial Women of Impact Award; 2025 Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce’s Mirinda Jackson Minority Business of the Year Award; 2025 Trailblazer of the Year Award; 2024 Woman of Courage Award; and the 2023 Most Impactful EntrepreneHer Award. She has received recognition from DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Prince George County Council for her significant contributions to financial wellness. She has been featured on CNN and hosted Fox 5; and serves on the Maryland Comptroller’s Financial Literacy Advisory Council.

When asked about her motivation for joining the MDFEC Advisory Board, Dr. Warren commented, “This initiative gives organizations the structure, trained educators, and measurable frameworks they need to deliver financial education that actually sticks, helping more communities build lasting financial wellness from the inside out.” She added, “Access to quality financial education should never depend on a zip code or a budget. When we put the right tools, training, and certified support in the hands of community organizations, we do not just improve programs. We change trajectories.”

The Maryland Council is a state-level chapter of the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC), an IACET-Accredited financial education provider and Certified B Corporation. The MDFEC is looking forward to a productive and beneficial relationship with Dr. Darvincia Warren as they pursue their shared mission.
