Substance ‘Ri’ Riesling
Sourced exclusively from the Evergreen Vineyard in the Ancient Lakes of Columbia Valley AVA, this AVA is renowned for producing world-class white wines from its unique cool-climate slopes.

The ‘Ri’ Riesling brings a vibrant and complex energy to the Substance portfolio, launching strategically to meet a growing consumer trend toward refreshing white wines and the increasing popularity of the $9-13 Washington State Riesling segment. Consistent with a growing consumer demand for lighter, more refreshing varietals, the 2025 ‘Ri’ Riesling features a lower alcohol content of 11.5% ABV.
Leighton, Washington’s undisputed master of Riesling, brings over two decades of winemaking expertise to this project, emphasizing purity, nuance, and the singular expression of the vineyard. Leighton meticulously selects sustainably grown grapes and uses native yeast fermentation, lees aging, and a minimal amount of sulfur dioxide to achieve a true expression of the site and vintage.
