Security 101 Builds Momentum in 2026 with Expanded Leadership and National Acquisitions

Security 101, a leading national provider of integrated security solutions, today announced continued momentum in 2026, marked by the promotion of Craig Shulman to Chief Operating Officer, expanded regional leadership, and a series of strategic acquisitions. The moves build on a period of rapid growth in which the company has nearly tripled its revenue over two years, strengthening execution and alignment as it scales for its next phase.

Strengthening the Leadership Team

Central to the momentum is the promotion of Craig Shulman from Chief Financial Officer to Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Shulman will lead the company’s day-to-day operations and field organization, with a focus on execution, accountability and consistent delivery across every branch.

“Craig has played a central role in building the foundation of the business and has been a trusted leader and strategic partner through the company’s growth,” said Greg Daly, CEO of Security 101. “He reflects the standard we look for in our people, the kind of talent and commitment that has built our culture and driven our growth. Promoting him is a natural step, and I have tremendous confidence in his ability to help lead Security 101 through our next chapter.”

The company also continued to build out its regional leadership structure. Security 101 recently promoted Jamie Vos to Vice President, Sales & Operations, West Region, part of a regional vice president model the company is establishing across its footprint. The company added regional sales directors Mike Capra in the South and John May in the North. Regional leadership now reports through the COO, creating tighter alignment between field teams and operational priorities.

Expanding the National Footprint

Security 101 has maintained an active acquisition strategy in 2026, deepening coverage across key markets and adding new capabilities. Recent acquisitions include Ford Industries in Salt Lake City, extending the company’s Mountain West presence; Blackhawk Security in Honolulu, adding statewide coverage across Hawaii along with experience in airports and critical infrastructure and True Security – East Bay, scaling operations across Northern California, including San Francisco, San Jose and Sacramento; and Silverstrand Technologies in San Diego, expanding coverage across Southern California, including Orange County, Los Angeles and Riverside. The company also acquired Secure Lock Solutions in West Columbia, South Carolina, strengthening its Carolinas coverage between Charlotte and Charleston.

Security 101 further broadened its capabilities with the acquisition of AV-Worx, an audio-visual systems integrator specializing in control rooms, emergency operations centers, and advanced visualization. The addition extends Security 101 into a complementary discipline that runs alongside electronic security in many of the environments the company supports.

Across these transactions, Security 101 has consistently retained proven local leadership, converting high-performing franchise partners into the corporate organization and adding independent integrators that strengthen its national platform.

Industry Recognition and Investment

The company’s growth has drawn outside recognition. Security 101 now operates 62 branches with a team of more than 1,000 employees. In February 2026, the company was acquired by investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Capital Partners, an external validation of the platform Security 101 has built and a source of institutional resources to accelerate its next phase of growth.

Security 101’s deployment for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center was also named SDM’s 2026 Project of the Year, recognizing the company’s work unifying more than 500,000 square feet of pediatric healthcare space onto a single, proactive security platform.

As a result of its continued growth, Security 101 is actively recruiting for several open positions across the organization. More information is available here.

The company will be at GSX 2026, September 14 to 16 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Request a private meeting here.
